Early the next morning, after only a few hours' sleep, Floyd wakes up for work before the sun even rises.
When Elvira wakes up, I'm almost sure she's confused from lack of sleep. Um, I don't think that's what you wear to be an organ donor, but who am I to judge?
Floyd finds out during the work day that he's coworkers with Gwen Glover, and she's already got an eye for him. Floyd can feel it.
Only his first day and Floyd's already got an opportunity, and it's to deliver a dossier to his wife's workplace. Elvira's probably thrilled to see him. She probably also tried to say he was an escaped patient.
He waits til she gets off of work, and once he sees her come out Floyd heads home to sleep the rest of the day away.
Elvira sticks around to read a book for work. Gwen Glover appears an hour or so after Floyd leaves. Here she is, bragging about her love of all things art right in front of Elvira; who, if you remember, despises art.
Floyd wakes up at 1:30 AM and fixes the household's first homemade meal, some waffles.
And whoa! He doesn't burn them! He does however get a third degree burn for not using an oven mitt.
No dishwashers needed here! He just licks his plate clean after he's done.
Floyd wants to grow bait for fish, so I try to make a cutesy little garden for him.
It is the most frustrating Sims thing I have ever attempted. Besides trying to "curve" a walkway or build a bridge, of course. HOW do you Sims players make nice little gardens with plants in a line and realistic-looking? How?!
Before they both head out for work, Elvira and Floyd cuddle up. And whaddaya know, Elvira actually accepts this romantic gesture.
And this one. (It makes him late for work, but Floyd has had a wish to kiss her since he saw her sloppily eat waffles this morning.)
Lookit these two. They'll make a proper married couple yet.
During the work day, Elvira is promoted to Bed Pan Cleaner and Floyd's work performance stops just short of getting promoted. It's probably because he was late. Curse you, Elvira! Okay, so I hate when this happens and can't stand sending my Sim to work when their performance meter is full. So I usually send them over to butter up their boss so they can ask for a promotion.
Floyd visits the Williams house, but his boss Marley isn't home yet for work. Marley's wife Aimee greets him and is freakishly happy to see him.
This is Marley. Doesn't he look snazzy!
Floyd has a wish to group up with Aimee as soon as they start talking so I kill two birds with one stone and ask the couple on a group outing to the park.
I can only assume they've stuffed Floyd in the trunk.
Aimee: Quiet down back there!
Gwen follows them there. Is there anywhere she doesn't follow Elvira and/or Floyd? Seriously, she rushed into the park and grabbed that seat right before they showed up.
So the group is going great and Marley and Floyd are now friends. Wonderful. Awesome. Except for the fact he rejected Floyd for the promotion. It's okay, Floyd. Walk it off. Smiles, smiles.
Floyd looks like he's about to strangle him in that hug. I know I want to.
So Floyd does the only sensible thing: he follows them home. But Marley seems to be
fake thrilled to see him, so I guess it's fine.
However, the option doesn't come up again and he doesn't make it to Good Friends with him to see it that'll work, so mission failed. :(
The Williams' have a perfectly good tray of waffle ingredients sitting out on the counter, so Floyd takes it upon himself to fix them.
Of course, he passes out right after he puts them in the oven, so...
Fortunately (or unfortunately, however you look at it) it doesn't start a fire, just burns them to a crisp. Eh, that's fine to a Slob. Just adds more flavour.
But as soon as he gets a plate, he has to drop it because they kick him out. Poor Floyd.
Malika: *stares off into distance like a rebel* Dad kick you out, too?
