Sunday, Day One

Now that we've introduced our Founders, let's get right into their first day.

Floyd's first wish was to join the Business career, so as soon as the newspaper is delivered he gets on it.

Then Elvira joins the Medical career while Floyd goes off to fish at Pinochle Pond.

With her job secured, she then heads to the library to learn the Logic skill, where she's traumatized by Holden Wozny and Gwen Glover.

After a few hours, Floyd still hasn't caught anything, but he's still happy just being in his element.

Or maybe not. Do I see a pout starting to form?

Elvira beats her husband at learning her first skill, then goes on to Work from "Home" at the computer in the kids section of the library.

I didn't get a shot of Floyd's first catch, but I did get this awesome fishing action shot to make up for it.

Watch as the fisherman carefully analyzes his game.

I've never caught a Sim flipping themselves when they cast before. I've also never had an Angler Sim do it twice in a row! Thanks for the shots, Floyd!

After one last awesome catch, he joins his wife at the library to learn the Gardening skill.

Speaking of Elvira, her working from "home" has brought in 113 simoleans, giving them a whopping total of 113 simoleans! Yay! However, even Workaholics need a bit of fun so she plays a skating game to pass the time while Floyd skills.

After Elvira's had her fun and Floyd's learned Gardening, I send them to the new park, Plumpuddle Park. I feel like they've earned it and hey, why not send them on a date? When they get there, they stop in the exact spot that ladybugs appear. Yay! More money!
While Floyd catches them, Elvira decides to call her boss.

Floyd decides to interrupt her phone call with a romantic gesture.
Floyd: *goes to hold hands*
Elvira: If you touch me, you're going to need bandages. Lots of bandages.
:(

Elvira: You know what you could do, though?
Floyd: *leans in close* What?
Elvira: Make me food.
And Floyd just turns to mush. Good job, Floyd.

Since Floyd doesn't want to use the perfectly good grills there at the park and actually make food himself, they both roll wishes to go to a restaurant and I oblige them.
After eating, they exit out of different doors and Elvira declares the date a bust.

They also leave in two separate taxis to head home. Ouch.

After the date, they are now down to 77 simoleans.
Elvira's not even Frugal and she's on his case.
Elvira: Wellll, THAT was a waste of money.
Floyd: This woman's gonna be the death of me...

But at least at the end of the day they can snuggle up and think nice thoughts like these.
